Shalya Taj City

Shalya is one of the established residential communities within Taj City, New Cairo, developed by Madinet Masr. Official company records show that Shalya was launched in November 2017 and occupies approximately 289,000 square metres. The community overlooks Taj City’s downtown district and was planned around landscaped green areas, water elements, public spaces, and dedicated community amenities. Its residential mix includes apartments, studios, duplexes, villas, and twin villas, allowing the development to accommodate different household profiles and property requirements. Madinet Masr’s official annual report records 941 launched units in Shalya, with 99.8% sold as of the end of 2022. The project also includes its own community centre and recreational facilities, while residents benefit from the wider infrastructure and amenities of Taj City. Shalya has direct access to the Ring Road and strong connectivity to Cairo–Suez Road. Madinet Masr states that it is opposite JW Marriott, approximately seven minutes from Cairo Festival City Mall and around fifteen minutes from Cairo International Airport. The developer currently lists Shalya among the already delivered Taj City communities. Current secondary-market listings in 2026 also show ready-to-move apartments, with several resale examples trading around the mid-EGP 40,000s to low-EGP 50,000s per square metre.
